A Life Designed With Intent, Creativity, Coffee and Chaos

DIY, design and a whole lot of figuring it out as we go.

Welcome to Custom AF Life.

I’m Anna Fielder. I’ve spent my life navigating multiple worlds-small family business roots, corporate training, thousands of creative passions and projects, and hands-on experience in about every industry you can think of. I’m a licensed hairstylist, a former bar owner, a medical advocate, a project manager, carver, builder, wood worker, art therapy practitioner, business/mental health and life coach. I’ve worn a lot of hats, but at my core, I’ve always been an artist who loves to learn and share.

Beyond titles or roles, I have a brain and body that thrives on the Big 5 C’S. Creativity, Curiosity, Constant learning, Coffee and a little sprinkle of Chaos.

That SAME brain and body actively work against me most days, doesn’t recognize itself in a mirror, and feels more like 3 Feral Raccoons hoola-hooping in a human suit than anything else. But apparently this is just what the human experience is gunna feel like for me for a while. To say the last 4 years have been full of ups and downs is an understatement. But in the spirit of staying positive we are going to focus on the growths! This year we are looking to curate more of that growth through intentional exploration of our everyday life, designing and creating better experiences and spaces for our happiest future selves.

Whether it’s woodworking, sewing, designing, painting, art therapy, reinventing furniture, building art installations or learning a new skill. My hands and mind are always busy bringing ideas to life. Usually with my, equally as creative sidekick husband, Shane, along for the ride.

“To have and to hold. And not be an idiot”

That was in our vows to each other on our wedding day… And we take that shit serious AF. As long as we’re not idiots and we keep creating, we’re gunna have the best time.

Personally I’m on the journey of learning that life, like art, is an evolving process. A MESSY AF. FUN AF. INFURIATING AF. BOLD AF.

EVOLVING AF PROCESS.

As an autistic, ADHD creative, I see the world a little differently. Always searching for new ways to blend structure with imagination. I wear many hats, but the common thread in everything I do is the drive to design a life that feels true to who I am.

This blog is about that journey of finding my way again, navigating a more authentic unmasked life, and building community through creativity and healing. Whether you’re an artist at heart, a fellow multi-hyphenate, or just someone looking for a fresh perspective, I hope this space inspires you to embrace designing your own life in a way that’s custom AF.

Testimonials

“When we bought our 1890s home, the original front door was beyond repair. Sackett was able to make an exact copy, down to the hand chiseled details. It’s a work of art.”

— Mollie G.

“Sackett designed and built a custom dining set for our vacation home. Without fail, it’s the thing everyone comments on. I couldn’t be happier with the work and the experience of designing it with them.”

— Gabriel H.

“It’s nearly impossible to find people who still apply classic woodworking techniques, but Sackett is keeping those traditions alive. Their work has a beautiful and timeless quality.”

— Griffin H.
